Los senadores provinciales Roberto Costa y Lucas Fiorini, referentes de “Vecinos Unidos”, mantuvieron reuniones con sectores productivos y sociales del Partido de General Pueyrredón: se encontraron con empresarios y trabajadores pesqueros, además de reunirse con referentes sociales y barriales de la ciudad.
Con los empresarios de buques pesqueros y armadores coincidieron en la prioridad que tiene para Mar del Plata contar con un puerto desarrollado a pleno, “algo posible pero que lamentablemente no ha sido comprendido como prioridad por demasiado tiempo”.
“El 56% del PBI de la ciudad viene de la pesca, un barco es una industria que da trabajo a mucha gente y desarrolla a la comunidad porque lo que allí se genera vuelve la ciudad” explicaron.
La importancia que el sector esté adecuadamente representado en el Consorcio así como en el lugar que la provincia de Buenos Aires tiene en el Consejo Federal Pesquero, y la necesidad de recategorizar el sector de Pesca en el gabinete provincial, fueron parte de la agenda del encuentro.
Los legisladores también mantuvieron reuniones con miembros de la Asociación Civil de Obreros Vinculados a la Actividad Pesquera, donde dialogaron sobre distintas propuestas para generar nuevos puestos de trabajo, cuestiones vinculadas a la seguridad de quienes prestan su labor en el Puerto y situaciones pendientes previsionales que sufren algunos trabajadores jubilados del sector.
“El puerto es el motor productivo, comercial y laboral de nuestra ciudad y la región. Escuchar a los protagonistas del sector, trabajadores y empresarios, y acompañar tanto sus propuestas como los temas a mejorar ha sido siempre una prioridad clara para nosotros. Desde hace tiempo intento que se comprenda que el puerto es la llave para encender la economía de nuestra ciudad y por tanto el trabajo que tanto se necesita generar, y que se debe dejar de darle la espalda al mar como señalaron algunos actores con los que nos reunimos hoy”, enfatizó Fiorini.
Como lo hacen habitualmente, los senadores también realizaron actividades en los barrios y conversaron con sus referentes. Mantuvieron una reunión en el barrio Cerrito Sur, donde se encontraron con referentes de los barrios San Martín, Villa Evita, Nuevo Golf, Belisario Roldán, Camet, San Jorge, San Jacinto y de la localidad de Batán.
Luego del encuentro, donde escucharon los planteos de quienes están diariamente trabajando junto a realidades sociales muchas veces complejas y difíciles, Roberto Costa señaló que “como dirigentes tenemos la obligación de mantenernos enfocados en aquello que nos impulsó a hacer política, que es la transformación social. Lo único que lo garantiza es el contacto y trabajo cotidiano con los vecinos y nuestros referentes, que para nosotros es permanente y es fundamental, por eso creemos e insistimos en construir respetando a los protagonistas del territorio, para no desvincularse de la realidad y acompañar en serio a quienes más lo necesitan”.
