A cuatro días de la sesión preparatoria en la cual el Cuerpo Deliberativo volverá a elegir a sus autoridades, en los corrillos del Palacio Municipal comenzaron a barajarse, con insistencia, tres nombres para ocupar el estrado presidencial.
Uno de ellos es el actual titular Guillermo Sáenz Saralegui, cuyas desafortunadas declaraciones suscitaron el malestar de algunos de sus pares de bloque y pusieron en tensión el estrecho vínculo político y personal con el hombre del impermeable azul.
Por su parte, la arquitecta Patricia Leniz, quien hoy por hoy ha vuelto ser la mano derecha del jefe comunal, luego del affaire de Emiliano Giri, acusado por la Justicia de corrupción, gana predicamento como candidata con chances ciertas para reemplazar a su par de bancada en la Presidencia del HCD, sitial al que debiera haber accedido desde el inicio de la gestión por su misma mesmedad y experiencia, según fuentes consultadas por este medio.
Y la tercera en disputa es la ascendente edil radical Cristina Coria, de quien en los pasillos del Palacio Municipal comentan que Arroyo le habría prometido antes de su asunción, ocupar la más alta jerarquía en la mesa directiva del Cuerpo Legislativo, que a la postre ofrecería a Sanz Saralegui.
Más allá de la erosión del estrecho vínculo, que aún lo une al intendente, con quien co-fundó y compartió simbióticamente el timón de Agrupación Atlántica, a raíz del desliz radial al que habría sido inducido, no se descarta la continuidad del actual presidente del Cuerpo, aunque a algunos de sus pares de bancada no le cayeron en gracia sus comentarios.
En el caso de Patricia Leniz, sería la candidata señalada por su bloque para ocupar el estrado presidencial por el reconocimiento que supo ganarse a través de los años por sus cualidades humanas y profesionales.
En off algunos ediles de la oposición comentan que la situación de Carlos Arroyo es cada vez más precaria, la renuncia de los funcionarios complicaron el panorama, que ya no tiene que ver con la herencia recibida, lo ven como un boxeador exhausto con la guardia baja. Y en tales circunstancias se inclinarían por acompañar la candidatura de Leniz para neutralizar al radicalismo, que con Coria en la presidencia, consolidaría la creciente influencia que detenta en distintas áreas de la administración municipal.
