El piloto Gastón Mazzacane obtuvo ayer la victoria y se quedó con el Desafío de las Estrellas después de que se constató que Valentín Aguirre (Ford), a quien se había dado como vencedor, tenía una vuelta menos en la competencia del Turismo Carretera (TC) que se llevó a cabo en el Autódromo El Villicum de en San Juan, en el marco de la octava fecha del campeonato automovilístico.
Christian Ledesma resulto 19º tras haber largado en el 36 º lugar en la clasificación por modalidad sorteo y se ubicó 10 º en el campeonato argentino de la categorías
Aguirre había cruzado la bandera a cuadros por delante de Mazzacane, pero posteriormente se constató que el arrecifeño tenía un giro menos que el resto de los competidores y finalmente fue excluido en la revisión técnica.
De esta manera, Mazzacane se alzó en el Desafío de las Estrellas, mientras que Marcos Landa (Torino) concluyó segundo y tercero hizo Alan Ruggiero (Ford).
Los diez primeros puestos los completaron: Juan Martín Trucco (Dodge), Agustín Canapino (Chevrolet), Facundo Ardusso (Chevrolet), Mauricio Lambiris (Ford), Sergio Alaux (Chevrolet), Juan Cruz Benvenuti (Torino) y Matías Rodríguez (Torino), respectivamente.
Apenas comenzó la competencia, Alan Ruggiero (Ford) se mantuvo en el puesto de privilegio seguido por Sergio Alaux (Chevrolet), mientras que más atrás se produjo un incidente entre Andrés Jakos (ingresó en trompo) y quienes venían detrás, como Jonatan Castellano y Juan Pablo Gianini, por lo cual, la carrera debió neutralizarse.
Tras el ingreso del Auto de seguridad, algunos pilotos aprovecharon para ir a los boxes a realizar el cambio de neumáticos y en el segundo giro se relanzó la final, por lo cual nos que no pudieron parar antes lo hicieron en ese momento.
En la sexta vuelta, Aguirre fue el primero en recargar combustible, mientras que dos giros más tarde y antes de que la carrera se vuelva a interrumpir por el despiste de Gabriel Ponce de León (Ford), Mariano Werner (Ford) debió detenerse en boxes por problemas en su auto.
Los pilotos Diego Ciatini, Alaux, Gastón Mazzacane y Luis José Di Palma fueron los primeros en cumplir con las dos detenciones obligatorias, pero a poco de cumplirse la duodécima vuelta, Nicolás Cotignola (Torino) se enganchó con Jakos en la entrada de la recta principal y debió entrar nuevamente el Auto de Seguridad.
En el relanzamiento, Aguirre quedó al frente del pelotón, seguido por Mazzacane, mientras que más atrás estaban Ciantini, Marcos Landa y Santiago Mangoni, quienes se tocaron a los pocos metros y quedaron Marcelo Agrelo, Alaux y Juan Martín Trucco detrás de Mazzacane.
Con el correr de las vueltas, Aguirre y Mazzacane se alejaron del pelotón, mientras que entre Trucco y Landa estaba la pelea por el tercer lugar y a la luca se sumó minutos después Ruggiero.
Cuando faltaba menos de una vuelta y media para el final, el Pace Car volvió a entrar debido a que el Torino de Emiliano Spataro quedó parado en la pista, mientras que “Josito” Di Palma desertaba con un problema mecánico en el Ford.
Ya en el último giro, Aguirre se afianzó al primer lugar y se encaminó hacia su quinto triunfo en la categoría, pero el AS hizo que se anexara un giro más para cumplir con la vuelta de velocidad y se constató que Aguirre no la había corrido, por lo cual el ganador fue Mazzacane.
En el campeonato, Agustín Canapino continúa como líder con 262 puntos, seguido por Mauricio Lambiris con 218 y Di Palma con 197.
La próxima fecha del Turismo Carretera será el fin de semana que viene también en el circuito de El Villicum de San Juan.
