El intendente de Vicente López, Jorge Macri, se bajó ayer de su postulación a diputado nacional en Buenos Aires y dejó a Diego Santilli como el único candidato del PRO para competir en la interna de Juntos por el Cambio con el radical Facundo Manes.
“He tomado la decisión de no encabezar una tercera lista en la las próximas elecciones. Llego a esta decisión convencido de que todos debemos ceder para fortalecer algo mas grande que cada uno de nosotros. Yo hago este gesto, y creo que también otros deben hacerlo”, subrayó Macri.
La decisión la tomó tras un nuevo encuentro con el jefe de Gobierno porteño, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, quien impulsa a su vicejefe para encabezar la nómina del PRO en el distrito más competitivo del país.
“De hoy al cierre de listas voy a trabajar para lograr una lista única. Porque dividirnos es un error que termina beneficiando al gobierno. Poner en riesgo el futuro del proyecto por algunos nombres en una lista es un costo innecesario”, enfatizó Jorge Macri en su cuenta de la red social Twitter.
Para el jefe comunal, “la unidad de Juntos por el cambio no está garantizada”, por lo que “todos” tienen “que trabajar para cuidarla y fortalecerla”.
“Hace 17 años fui uno de los fundadores de este espacio. Soy parte del crecimiento de esta fuerza que hoy cuenta con legisladores e intendentes. Como Presidente del PRO (en Buenos Aires) tengo la responsabilidad de consolidar nuestro partido y construir una alternativa al kirchnerismo en 2023”, señaló Jorge Macri.
Y agregó: “A la sociedad tenemos que llevarle soluciones, no problemas. El país está sin rumbo: la plata no alcanza, la pobreza sigue creciendo, no se genera empleo y el futuro es una incógnita. En este contexto, ir a las PASO sería llevarle a la sociedad los problemas de los políticos”.
Rodríguez Larreta expresó: “Valoro mucho a @jorgemacri, y su decisión es una gran muestra de grandeza y compromiso”.
“Su rol es muy importante para la consolidación del PRO en la Provincia de Buenos Aires y el fortalecimiento de la unidad de @juntoscambioar. Vamos a seguir trabajando juntos en esa dirección”, enfatizó el mandatario de la Ciudad en su cuenta de la red social Twitter.
De esta forma, el PRO tendrá como único candidato a Santilli, quien deberá enfrentarse a Manes, el postulante propuesto por la Unión Cívica Radical, quien cuenta con el respaldo del GEN de Margarita Stolbizer y del ex presidente de la Cámara de Diputados, Emilio Monzó.
Si bien Jorge Macri intentó resistir, finalmente cedió y bajó su postulación, lo mismo que sucedió en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires con Patricia Bullrich, quien dejó de lado sus aspiraciones y apoyó a María Eugenia Vidal.
“Felicito a @jorgeMacri por su decisión. En estos tiempos, la grandeza del renunciamiento marca nuestro presente y futuro político. Estamos más juntos que nunca para enfrentar con fuerza los problemas que tiene nuestro país y que vamos a solucionar”, indicó Bullrich en su cuenta de Twitter.
