Facundo Manes es el candidato que la Unión Cívica Radical (UCR) buscó y convenció para que sea candidato en las elecciones legislativas 2021 en la provincia de Buenos Aires. Pero su postulación llegó con una condición: que Augusto Salvatto tenga un lugar de peso en las listas.
Augusto Salvatto tiene 27 años, nació en Capital Federal y se autodefine como un “analista político y profesor universitario especializado en innovación tecnológica y futuro del trabajo”. Se recibió en Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad Católica Argentina, donde actualmente da clases, y fundó una consultora política.
“Me especializo en innovación, transformación digital y futuro del trabajo”, señala en la biografía de su sitio web. Además, como consultor político, su mantra es “hacer posible lo imposible”. ¿Podrá ser junto a Manes la pieza que haga triunfar al radicalismo en la Provincia?
Mateo Salvatto y su hermano Augusto
El salto a la fama fue a partir de su hermano menor, Mateo Salvatto, a quien señala también como su “mejor amigo”. Mateo comenzó a hacerse conocido por sus estudios en sistemas y trabajos en robótica, donde consiguió múltiples premios.
A partir de allí, empezó a brindar charlas motivacionales y coaching en el que insiste sobre las bondades de la programación y la robótica, ligados al emprendedurismo. Aunque mantuvo hasta ahora un perfil “apartidario” y señaló que no tenía intenciones de meterse en política, fue muy crítico con la situación del país y los gobiernos peronistas.
Su analogía en la famosa mesa de Mirtha Legrand le valió un reconocimiento opositor e incluso la propuesta de ser legislador porteño, que rechazó. “Argentina hace décadas que está peleando a ver quién tiene la culpa de la gotera, y el agua ya nos llegó al cuello. Dejémonos de joder y traigamos la escalera”, dijo.
Luego de fuertes críticas por su analogía, volvió a la carga y publicó “mi sueño es que algún día se indignen tanto con la situación del país como se indignan por estos sesenta segundos de un salame hablando en tv”.
Este año, Augusto y Mateo Salvatto publicaron en conjunto “La batalla del futuro”, un libro que según los hermanos, “no es un libro sobre tecnología, sino más bien sobre toda una época en la que los humanos estamos enteramente atravesados por lo tecnológico”.
El apoyo de Facundo Manes a los Salvatto
El discurso de Mateo y Augusto Salvatto cautivó al neurocientífico Facundo Manes, que los apoya en su trabajo, emprendedurismo y ahora también, carrera política. La admiración es mutua. “Siempre del lado Manes de la vida” había señalado Mateo luego de una publicación en la que el boina blanca cuestionaba la grieta y pedía más “pensamiento crítico”.
No fue el único elogio, ni la única participación en conjunto. En marzo de este año, Facundo Manes y Mateo Salvatto cerraron el “Flow Radical” en Mar del Plata, en medio del impulso de Maxi Abad como presidente del Comité Bonaerense. Según los asistentes, se robaron el espectáculo y eclipsaron a Mario Negri.
