Peñarol de Mar del Plata contrató al ala pivot Pablo Espinoza para la próxima edición de la Liga Nacional de Básquetbol.
Espinoza es un refuerzo de muy buen rendimiento en distintos clubes de la Liga Nacional como el caso de Quilmes donde reforzó al plantel que logró el ascenso en la temporada 2010-2011.
Es uno de los fichajes fuertes que tendrá esta temporada el conjunto marplatense y que le sirve para ir marcando que tipo de juego interno tendrá el nuevo plantel que está armando Ramella con los dirigentes.
Espinoza, que se caracteriza no solo por su agilidad, sino por ser uno de los máximos reboteros en todos los clubes por los que pasó; viene de jugar en Instituto de Córdoba durante la última temporada con un promedio de 5.9 puntos, 7.4 rebotes y 1.3 asistencias por partido.
Su carrera se inició en Argentino de Junín jugando tanto en el viejo TNA como en la Liga, de ahí fue incorporación del “cervecero” para conseguir el ascenso y se estableció en la máxima categoría con la camiseta de Obras. Luego tuvo una experiencia en Macaé de Brasil, antes de volver a Argentina para vestir la casaca de Regatas Corrientes (sub-campeón de Liga), Salta Basket y finalmente en “La Gloria” cordobesa.
Ahora es una ficha más del interesante plantel que está armando Peñarol y se suma a Carlos Buemo, Bruno Sansimoni y Federico Marín, las contrataciones ya anunciadas.
