El intendente Guillermo Montenegro decidió finalmente sumarse a los intendentes de Rosario y Córdoba, Pablo Javkin y Carlos y Martín Llaryora, respectivamente, entre otros jefes comunales del interior del país, para que la distribución de los subsidios al transporte lleguen a sus respectivas ciudades y alivien la decisión política de asumir el costo del aumento del boleto del transporte urbano de pasajeros.
No casualmente, Montenegro acaba de ser habilitado por el Concejo Deliberante, a fijar el nuevo precio del boleto luego de haber fracasado estrepitosamente con la licitación del servicio, que terminó en un escándalo político dentro del propio oficialismo. La facultad que recientemente le otorgó el Concejo Deliberante, convirtió al intendente en un gestor más de los recursos que reclaman los empresarios.
Como se conociera amplia y públicamente, desde más de una década, el AMBA es la zona favorecida por el gobierno nacional para otorgar subsidios al transporte de pasajeros en la CABA y 26 municipios del Gran Buenos Aires, que componen la zona denominada Área Metropolitana Buenos Aires.
Esta decisión largamente resistida fue tomada por el ministro Julio De Vido y provocó un desajuste en todo el sistema, ya que los pasajeros del interior pasaron a subsidiar a los usuarios de la Capital Federal y las municipalidades que componen el AMBA, creando un desfasaje que ha llegado al límite de su financiamiento por parte de los empresarios y los usuarios del servicio, entre ellos los marplatenses.
Ahora Montenegro, aparece en el club de los intendentes del interior del país, que reclama a la Nación que Mar del Plata sea considerada como una ciudad del interior, que merece el mismo tratamiento de CABA y conurbano bonaerense, en el cual se produce un movimiento de casi el 50 % del transporte de pasajeros del total del país.
En un preciso informe que publica La Política On Line, se da cuenta que el intendente marplatense perteneciente al PRO, ha pasado a formar parte de un inevitable reclamo, producto de un injusto desvío de fondos provenientes de una formidable masa de subsidios, que se concentró en el gobierno kirchnerista bajo la cartera de Julio De Vido, a través del Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación.

No hubo acuerdo en la discusión paritaria y se repite el escenario de la semana pasada. Surgió nuevamente el diálogo entre los intendentes del interior y desde Mar del Plata se sumó Montenegro.
