La Municipalidad obtuvo por segundo año consecutivo el primer puesto en el Indice de Datos Abiertos de Ciudades de Argentina que elabora la Fundación Conocimiento Abierto, y que ubica a la ciudad como uno de los gobiernos más abiertos y transparentes del país, junto a las ciudades de Bahía Blanca y Crespo.
En este marco, el intendente Guillermo Montenegro y el coordinador de Gabinete municipal, Alejandro Rabinovich, encabezaron una nueva reunión de Gabinete vía zoom, donde transmitieron la noticia.
“Celebramos el primer lugar pero estamos convencidos que es lo que debemos hacer, porque estamos administrando los recursos de los vecinos”, manifestó el jefe comunal y también dio un especial “agradecimiento a Modernización, Gobierno Digital, Gobierno Abierto y a todas las áreas por entender la importancia de compartir esta información con los vecinos”.
El índice evalúa el estado de apertura y promoción de datos públicos en formato abierto de las ciudades, y busca fortalecer la transparencia activa y la rendición de cuentas.
Por sexto año consecutivo, la sede argentina de la Open Knowledge Foundation lanzó el Indice de Datos Abiertos de Ciudades Argentinas, único ranking que da cuenta de la apertura de datos de los municipios del país (se puede ver en www.indicedatosabiertos.org).
Este estudio se creó con el objetivo de fortalecer la transparencia en los gobiernos locales mediante el uso de la tecnología y la producción de conocimiento basado en evidencia, con las premisas de ampliar y profundizar el modelo de Gobierno Abierto municipal, promover el acceso a la información pública y mejorar la implementación de políticas públicas.
Este año fueron relevados un total de 17 ejes de transparencia y apertura de datos. Algunas de las temáticas evaluadas fueron presupuesto, gasto público, obras públicas, transporte público, resultados electorales, compras y contrataciones, covid19, lugares públicos, límites administrativos (divisiones del municipio), ordenanzas, medio ambiente y sueldos de los funcionarios públicos, entre otros.
General Pueyrredon es uno de los tres municipios del país que logró el 100% de los conjuntos de datos abiertos en su totalidad, junto a Bahía Blanca y Crespo. Le siguen Ciudad de Buenos Aires (99%), Olavarría (98%) y Mendoza (93%).
El portal de datos abiertos del Municipio (www.datos.mardelplata.gob.ar) cuenta con 1.174 recursos o archivos dentro de los 288 conjuntos de datos publicados que se encuentran distribuidos en 17 categorías. Entre las categorías con más conjuntos de datos publicados se destacan Economía y Hacienda, Movilidad y Transporte, Salud y Servicio Sociales y Medio Ambiente, además de la amplia gama de datos en materia de transparencia.
En esta plataforma, que también cuenta con mapas reutilizables, todos los vecinos pueden consultar y descargar esta información para su libre visualización y reutilización.
Actualmente se está trabajando en la publicación regular de una serie de historias o visualizaciones de distintas temáticas como obras, pesca, turismo y comercio exterior entre algunas que se realizan a partir del análisis de grandes volúmenes de datos.
