El ministro de Salud porteño, Fernán Quirós, afirmó ayer que estudios internacionales demostraron que “el cruce de vacunas” contra el coronavirus es “seguro y eficaz”, y adelantó que realizarán en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (CABA) ensayos clínicos para ver cómo reaccionan los pacientes a la combinación.
“Los estudios demuestran en general que el cruce de vacunas es seguro y eficaz”, sostuvo el funcionario porteño a radio Mitre, y añadió que “da un poco más de síntomas las primeras 24 horas, pero que algunos han demostrado que pueden dar más defensas que la doble vacuna de Pfizer”, ejemplificó.
En relación a la seguridad de las vacunas, indicó que “todas están aprobadas por Anmat” (Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica).
“Estamos evaluando dos aspectos técnicos: la seguridad y la eficacia en una combinación diferente de vacunas”, dijo.
El funcionario señaló que “el trabajo (ensayo) es relativamente corto porque lo que se controla es a la segunda semana y a los 21 días cuando despertó la inmunidad y también se controla la seguridad, qué efectos adversos tuvieron”.
“A los que han recibido el componente 1 de Sputnik los vamos a invitar a algunos de ellos, seleccionados al azar, para que reciban aleatoriamente AstraZeneca, Sinopharm o el componente dos” de la vacuna desarrollada por el Instituto Gamaleya.
Sobre los aspectos regulatorios, Quirós precisó que “cuando esté demostrado que el cruce es seguro y eficaz, naturalmente la Comisión Nacional de Inmunizaciones podrá opinar, el Ministerio de Salud hará sus recomendaciones y el Consejo Federal de Salud también”.
“Para hacer el protocolo vamos a ofrecerle a la gente que incluso tenga ya cuatro semanas de la vacuna, es decir que, de esta manera, los candidatos para inscribirse son muchos”, subrayó.
Quirós opinó que “cuando estén los resultados, la aplicación se podrá hacer muy rápidamente”.
“En Europa pasó que muchos de los países que dieron la primera dosis de AstraZeneca y luego suspendieron su aplicación, han hecho muchos estudios sobre cruces de vacunas, sobre todo con Pfizer, que es la experiencia más conocida: primera de AstraZeneca y segunda de Pfizer o viceversa”, concluyó….
