El neurocientífico Facundo Manes confirmó hoy que se presentará en las próximas elecciones como candidato a diputado nacional por la UCR en la provincia de Buenos Aires y remarcó que “es tiempo de estar presentes”.
“Hay dos cosas que nos movilizan a los seres humanos: el miedo y la esperanza. Queda en nosotros elegir el camino que queremos tomar. Sepan que a pesar del dolor y el sufrimiento que estamos viviendo, podemos salir fortalecidos de todo esto. Tenemos que convertir la resignación y el desencanto en esperanza. No podemos permitir que el miedo nos paralice. Es tiempo de estar presentes”, sostuvo el dirigente opositor.
A través de sus redes sociales, la flamante figura del radicalismo señaló que por esa razón decidió aceptar la invitación que le hizo la Unión Cívica Radical y “participar en las próximas elecciones”.
“Se viene un nuevo país en un nuevo mundo y hay que pensarlo, armarlo, explicarlo y, sobre todo, hacerlo. En este contexto tan crítico, la pregunta no es quién se involucra sino cómo hacemos todos para involucrarnos. El futuro no está escrito, depende de nosotros”, destacó.
Y agregó: “Tenemos por delante un desafío que nunca imaginamos. No podemos enfrentar una crisis de esta magnitud con las mismas prácticas de siempre. Somos más que esto. En Argentina tenemos un dolor común. Necesitamos un sueño común. Esta es la lucha de nuestras vidas y vamos a estar hasta el final”.
La figura de Manes es una de las apuestas fuertes del radicalismo tanto para tratar de ganar espacio dentro de la alianza opositora Juntos por el Cambio, como así también imponerse en las elecciones legislativas ante el Frente de Todos en el distrito bonaerense.
“Esperamos de un momento a otro su confirmación. Contribuimos con una figura muy fresca a la política argentina y en particular a la provincia de Buenos Aires”, había remarcado el presidente del Comité Nacional de la UCR, Alfredo Cornejo, escasos minutos antes de la publicación del neurocientífico.
En declaraciones radiales, el diputado nacional y ex gobernador de Mendoza había subrayado: “Queremos contribuir con Facundo Manes a que la oposición tenga una oferta mucho más amplia, más aceptación en el electorado bonaerense y creemos que también que contribuye a ampliar la base de sustentación de Juntos por el Cambio en todo el país”.
Mientras tanto, el PRO debe definir si continúa con la intención de presentar una lista propia, que podría estar encabezada por el vicejefe de Gobierno porteño, Diego Santilli, o el intendente de Vicente López, Jorge Macri.
