El Instituto Gamaleya de Rusia, creador de la vacuna anti covid Sputnik V, que asegura que la protección de la primera dosis persiste independientemente de la segunda, demostró en un informe titulado “Ventajas de la inmunización de refuerzo” que alrededor del día 28 tras la primera dosis de una vacuna de un solo componente (inmunización única, por ejemplo ad5), la respuesta inmunitaria desciende paulatinamente, siendo más baja sobre el día 56.
El gráfico publicado por el instituto ruso muestra además que con otras vacunas de dos componentes, pero con el mismo tipo de vector para la inmunización de refuerzo, “por ejemplo ad26 más ad26”, la respuesta inmunitaria es menor a la de los dos componentes con otro tipo de vector -como el caso de Sputnik V- pero mayor a si se aplica una sola dosis.
La publicación llega después de semanas de cuestionamientos y reclamos por las demoras en la llegada de las segundas dosis de la vacuna Sputnik V a la Argentina,. Finalmente desde Rusia confirmaron este 24 de junio que la semana próxima enviarán un cargamento con el segundo componente. Desde el Gobierno nacional dijeron que aunque se cumplan los tres meses transcurridos de la primera dosis “las vacunas aplicadas no pierden el efecto” y que la efectividad de la primera dosis es del 73,6%.

El organismo tiene memoria inmunológica y celular”, argumentó la ministra de Salud Carla Vizzotti.
Es por esto que, remarcan, la respuesta inmunitaria tras la aplicación del segundo componente de la Sputnik V, “otro tipo de vector para la inmunización de refuerzo (ad26 más ad5)” es mucho mayor.
