Con la presencia de la titular de la ANSES, Fernanda Raverta, se llevó adelante un encuentro de dirigentes sindicales y de organizaciones populares del Movimiento Político de los Trabajadores con los precandidatos locales del Frente de Todos.
La actividad se en el predio del Sindicato de Empleados de Comercio y tuvo como oradores a Raverta, al precandidato a senador provincial Pablo Obeid, a la actual concejal y cabeza de lista Virginia Sivori, y finalmente al precandidato a concejal y secretario general de la CGT Regional Mar del Plata, el dirigente bancario Miguel Guglielmotti.
Los discursos realzaron la importancia de la presencia del Estado frente a la pandemia, con el fortalecimiento del sistema de salud y las medidas de cuidado, así como una fuerte campaña de vacunación. Por otra parte, y en forma simultánea, las políticas nacionales y provinciales de preservación del empleo como la prohibición de despidos y la asistencia económica para el pago de salarios, entre otras.
Se hizo eje en algunas políticas puntuales frente a los sectores más vulnerables y la necesidad de seguir desarrollando incentivos para la inversión productiva y la recuperación del salario.
Se mencionó al trabajo como tema central de la agenda para una ciudad que sufre alarmantes cifras de desempleo e informalidad laboral y la importancia de la articulación que se ha venido consolidando con el empresariado local que busca invertir en producción y generar empleo.
Estuvieron presentes, además de los referentes sindicales, los responsables locales del Ministerio de Trabajo de la Nación, Daniel Di Bártolo, y de la Provincia, Sergio Arista, así como los concejales del Frente de Todos Marcos Gutierrez, Vito Amalfitano, Daniel Rodríguez, Roberto Gandolfi, Verónica Lagos y Ariel Ciano. Los dos últimos precandidatos también, como Matías Maciel, que estuvo en el encuentro.
