Desde el entorno de Posse aseguran que fue el PRO quien presionó en favor del intendente para que pueda ser parte de la interna de Cambiemos.
Más temprano, Posse había denunciado que Facundo Manes le impedía presentar sus partidos dentro del frente opositor. “Achican el frente en lugar de ampliarlo”, señalaban desde el entorno de Posse. “No podemos entrar y nos piden requisitos que a otros partidos vecinales no les solicitan”, agregaban.
Desde ese sector de la UCR dejaron trascender que la línea interna que controla el Comité Provincia amenazó con romper la coalición Cambiemos si se permite el ingreso de Espacio Abierto.
En el possismo afirman que Espacio Abierto fue uno de los partidos que dieron origen a Cambiemos y que formó parte de la alianza durante las elecciones de 2015, 2017 y 2019.
Posse viene insistiendo con que competirá con un lista propia en la convulsionada interna de Cambiemos. El intendente radical apuesta a un enfrentamiento particular con Manes, más que a ser diputado nacional.
La tensión en el radicalismo es una continuidad de la disputa por el control del partido en la provincia de Buenos Aires, una pulseada que terminó con varias denuncias en la Justicia.
En esa interna, Manes jugó para el oficialismo radical de Maximiliano Abad que enfrentó a Posse, incluso su hermano Gastón integró la lista oficialista.
