La Asociación Argentina de Capitanes, Pilotos y Patrones de Pesca anunció un paro de actividades a partir del próximo lunes debido al “trato inhumano” que está recibiendo la tripulación del buque marplatense Mishima Maru 8 en el Puerto de Comodoro Rivadavia, debido a que no los dejan desembarcar por un brote de Covid a bordo.
En total son 30 tripulantes, de los cuales 22 dieron positivo de coronavirus luego de los testeos correspondientes. Si bien desde la embarcación solicitaron el desembarco siguiendo todos los protocolos, no se los habilitó a descender al muelle.
Desde la Asociación de Capitanes explicaron que los tripulantes del buque marplatense se encuentran “a bordo e impedidos de desembarcar y sin recibir la atención médica que algunos requieren atento a los síntomas propios de la enfermedad”.
Esta versión se contrapone con la de las autoridades del Puerto de Comodoro Rivadavia, que habían confirmado la realización de controles a los pasajeros del navío. El capitán del buque fue quien decidió ingresar al muelle bajo su responsabilidad.
Ante esta situación, que es la entidad decretó hoy “un paro total de actividades de la flota pesquera nacional a partir del próximo lunes como consecuencia del trato inhumano que están recibiendo los compañeros embarcados en el buque pesquero”.
Además se expresaron duramente con las autoridades de la Administración Portuaria de Comodoro Rivadavia, como así también de la ciudad e Comodoro Rivadavia y de la provincia de Chubut.
En un comunicado consideraron que “han demostrado una total desaprensión por la atención y asistencia médica de los tripulantes a bordo, habiendo negado la posibilidad de que los trabajadores desembarquen para ser alojados, con cargo a costa de la empresa, en un lugar digno que les permita transitar la enfermedad en mejores condiciones.
En otra parte se refirieron a las actuaciones labradas por la Prefectura de aquella localidad, que imputaron al capitán por ingresar sin autorización. Sin embargo, desde la Asociación de Capitanes expresaron que “en realidad ante el agravamiento de la situación de uno de los tripulantes y frente la falta de respuesta de las autoridades portuarias ante sus desesperados pedidos para ingresar a puerto, realizó un ingreso forzoso amparado en sus facultades como capitán, ponderando la vida de los tripulantes por sobre la burocracia sin rostro humano”.
Finalmente, recordaron que no se trata del primer brote de covid a bordo de una embarcación y volvieron a reclamar ser considerados como personal esencial para ser “vacunados en forma urgente y prioritaria teniendo en cuenta que se trata de una actividad en la que las condiciones estructurales de producción hacen casi imposible que sea desarrollada en condiciones sanitarias seguras frente a la pandemia”.
