Un total de 13,2 millones de turistas y excursionistas se movilizaron por todo el país y gastaron 43.604,6 millones de pesos en las ciudades que forman parte del circuito turístico nacional durante las dos semanas del receso invernal, según informó ayer la Confederación Argentina de la Mediana Empresa (CAME).
“Las vacaciones de invierno finalizaron con un buen balance dado el contexto. Sin la mayoría de las tradicionales fiestas y eventos deportivos, los visitantes eligieron actividades al aire libre, y especialmente recorridos por la naturaleza de cada lugar”, precisó la CAME.
“Hubo un turismo de revancha”, señalaron varios representantes del sector, ya que después de tanto tiempo de salidas restringidas, la gente necesitaba viajar y tomarse vacaciones y así lo hicieron.
De acuerdo con la información brindada por diferentes entidades de provincias y ciudades, el gasto realizado en las vacaciones se compuso de 4.152.346 turistas (19 por ciento menos que en 2019), que, con una estadía media de 3,8 días y un gasto diario promedio de $2.190, por cada uno, dejaron ingresos directos por $34.555,8 millones.
A ellos se suman 9 millones de excursionistas que, con un costo promedio de $1.000 cada uno, desembolsaron $9.048,7 millones, 70,9% por encima de las vacaciones 2019.
El movimiento de excursionistas fue sólo 6% menor a 2019, porque frente a las dificultades económicas y al cuidado por la pandemia, muchas familias eligieron hacer una o dos escapadas, ya sea en la semana o fin de semana.
El 69% de los turistas que viajaron en julio lo hicieron por ocio o recreación, mientras que el resto mayormente para visitar familiares o amigos.
En ese sentido, según el informe no hubo citas como espectáculos o competencias deportivas como otras veces, pero se compensó con el turismo de naturaleza, deportes al aire libre, termas, o paseos por patrimonios históricos.
También hubo menos oferta de alojamientos que lo habitual, con hoteles cerrados y el aforo limitado en cada uno, pero a diferencia de otros inviernos, las familias evitaron hospedarse en casas de amigos, familiares o vínculos cercanos, en parte respetando el aislamiento y evitar las concentraciones de gente en espacios cerrados.
Mar del Plata, Bariloche y Córdoba fueron las ciudades más visitadas, seguidas por Salta capital, Carlos Paz, San Martín de los Andes, Mendoza, Merlo, Rosario y Ushuaia.
Según precisó la CAME, a partir de diferentes reportes, la temporada fue aceptable y en algunas ciudades superó las expectativas, que eran muy prudentes.
En ese aspecto, ayudaron las restricciones para viajar al exterior y la necesidad de salir tras tanto periodo de confinamiento, aunque al mismo tiempo, los polos perdieron el turismo internacional que era una interesante fuente de ingresos.
La mayoría de las provincias hicieron campañas con el nombre de “Turismo Seguro” para darle tranquilidad a los viajeros.
Por grandes zonas, la región más concurrida fue el Noroeste con el 17,8% de los arribos de turistas, seguida por la zona Centro con 17,4%, provincia de Buenos Aires con 16,4%, y la zona del Litoral con 13,5%.
