España registró en un nuevo incremento en la cantidad de fallecidos por la pandemia de coronavirus?: según el reporte diario de las autoridades sanitarias, en las últimas 24 horas murieron 769 personas, con lo que la cantidad de víctimas fatales llega a 4.858. La nueva cifra equivale a un incremento del 18,8 por ciento en un día, lo que supone un nuevo máximo en 24 horas desde el inicio de la pandemia.
Según la información brindada este viernes por el Ministerio de Sanidad, la cantidad de contagios en España llega a 64.059, de los cuales 4.165 se encuentran tratados en cuidados intensivos y 9.357 ya han sido curados.
Madrid sigue siendo la ciudad más afectada por la pandemia, con un total de 19.243 casos confirmados y 2.412 fallecidos. En segundo lugar se encuentra Cataluña, con 12.940 contagios hasta este viernes y 880 muertos.
En ese contexto, el Gobierno de Pedro Sánchez acelera el montaje de hospitales de campaña y anunció la contratación de unos 200 médicos extranjeros.
Desde grandes ciudades como Madrid, donde con la ayuda del Ejército se montó un hospital con capacidad para hasta 5.000 personas, hasta la pequeña ciudad de Segovia, próxima a la capital, se están instalando hospitales de campaña para descongestionar a los hospitales, que están al límite de sus capacidades.
La ONG Médicos Sin Fronteras también abrió dos hospitales de campaña en pabellones de dos de los ciudades más afectadas de la región de Madrid.
