La Municipalidad adhirió a la movida mundial “La hora del planeta 2021” impulsada por la Organización Mundial de Conservación en pos de la lucha contra el cambio climático: entre las 20:30 y las 21:30 se apagaron las luces del Palacio Municipal y la Torre Tanque.
Por décimo año consecutivo, la Organización Mundial de Conservación (WWF) –y con la coordinación en nuestro país de la Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina- organiza la mayor acción de concientización y movilización ambiental a nivel global. Esta iniciativa invita a individuos, gobiernos y empresas a apagar la luz por una hora.
Debido a la situación mundial por la pandemia, al igual que en 2020, las acciones de “La Hora del Planeta” en todo el mundo se realizarán en modalidad virtual.
El año pasado participaron más de 180 países y miles de municipios a nivel global, junto a más de 20 municipios en 10 provincias de nuestro país.
De esta manera, el Municipio no solo se convierte en agente activo ante la lucha contra el cambio climático, sino que también ayuda a concientizar acerca de la relación entre la salud del ambiente y la salud de las personas.
