España, segundo destino turístico mundial antes de la pandemia, dejará entrar a partir del 7 de junio a cualquier persona vacunada contra el coronavirus, cualquiera sea el país que venga, anunció este viernes el presidente del Gobierno, Pedro Sánchez.
“Desde el 7 de junio todas las personas vacunadas y sus familias son también bienvenidas a nuestro país, España, con independencia de su lugar de origen”, dijo el mandatario.
Desde el lunes 24 de mayo, España permitirá también a los británicos, primer contingente turístico en tiempos normales, viajar “sin restricciones y sin requisitos sanitarios”, añadió Sánchez en el salón turístico internacional Fitur.
Hasta ahora los británicos solo podían venir a España en casos de máxima necesidad, pero a partir del próximo lunes no tendrán que presentar un PCR negativo al llegar, indicó el Ejecutivo en una página web para promocionar el turismo.
Aparte del Reino Unido, este levantamiento de restricciones de llegadas a España incluirá también a Japón desde el próximo lunes, según el Boletín Oficial del Estado.
Ambos países se suman a una lista de ocho territorios de fuera de la Unión Europea (UE), entre ellos China, Australia, Israel y Nueva Zelanda, cuyos residentes ya podían venir a España para realizar viajes no esenciales, reseñó la agencia de noticias AFP.
España, que en 2019 fue el segundo destino turístico mundial, espera atraer en 2021 a unos 45 millones de turistas extranjeros, la mitad que antes de la catástrofe sanitaria.
Previamente, los británicos representaban el primer contingente de visitantes extranjeros, con 18 millones de llegadas en 2019.
Su regreso a las playas españolas es importante para el país, que antes de la pandemia tenía en el turismo el 14% de su Producto Bruto Interno (PBI).
Las entradas de residentes de países de la UE no estuvieron nunca limitadas, aunque estos visitantes deben presentar un test negativo a partir de 6 años de edad.
España registra 3,64 millones de contagios y 79.620 muertos desde el inicio de la pandemia, según el último reporte oficial….
