Ocurrió en una gomería camino a la Costa Atlántica, en plena Ruta 2. La familia contó los pormenores de la estafa en las redes sociales.
A través de las redes sociales, una familia denunció haber sido víctima de un “Cuento del tío” mientras circulaba en auto por el kilómetro 206 de la Ruta 2, en el partido de Dolores, camino hacia la Costa Atlántica.
En el vehículo viajaban Mariana, quien hizo público el relato, su hija de 13 años, y su madre, de 77. Al volante iba su padre, de 80 años y operado del cerebro. “Mi papá decidió acercarse y preguntarle al hombre qué era lo que había visto, el hombre le dijo que la rueda echaba humo, que se la miraba sin compromiso… pero su ‘sin compromiso’ implicó entrar al garaje de culata y hacernos descender”, relató la mujer.
“Se puso muy nervioso ante esta situación, porque era claro que nos estaban haciendo el cuento del tío, era claro que nos iban a estafar, era claro que estábamos en desventaja, era claro que estábamos en el medio de la nada, sin una rueda, y mi papá en ese contexto estaba con su esposa, su nieta y su hija, totalmente desprotegidos, era claro que estaba nervioso y solo quería irse”, continuó la mujer, quien vive hace 10 años en el partido de La Costa y decidió compartir su experiencia “para que no le suceda a otras personas y sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que viene un fin de semana largo y mucha gente va a transitar la ruta”.
Según Mariana, su familia fue “fichada” en la estación de servicio por reunir las características óptimas para una estafa: eran tres mujeres y un hombre mayor, “y la gente mayor generalmente se maneja con efectivo y no opone mucha resistencia”.
Mientras se encontraban en el lugar, la mujer se comunicó con su hermano, quien a su vez hablaba con su mecánico de confianza. “El auto había sido chequeado antes de salir y todo lo que decía el señor de la gomería no le cuadraba”, sostuvo.
Después de alrededor de una hora, el responsable de la gomería aseguró que el neumático tenía una pieza rota. “Esa pieza nueva sale 5000 pesos y de mano de obra te pueden cobrar 3000 pesos. A mi viejo le sacó 14000 pesos y le dijo que la pieza era de ‘recambio’, que por eso no le podía dar la pieza vieja”, contó Mariana, quien le mandó fotos de la supuesta pieza nueva a su mecánico y supo que todo había sido una mentira.
