Una gigantesca araña “bananera” apareció días atrás en Mar del Plata, la cual fue divisada por los empleados de una feria de compras ubicada en el barrio Bosque Grande. Se trata de una de las especies más venenosas que existen, por lo que quienes lograron advertir la presencia del arácnido lograron encerrarla en un recipiente.
Los expertos, con respecto a ese tipo de arácnido, precisaron que su veneno puede generar una erección en los hombres para posteriormente morir de un paro cardíaco. Esto se debe por la toxina Tx2-6 o Tx2-5.
Tras lograr contenerla y ponerse a resguardo, los empleados de la feria se comunicaron con personal de Control de Plagas a quienes les entregaron la peligrosa especie. Una vez que los expertos confirmaron que verdaderamente era una araña bananera, informaron que es la segunda que se ve en la ciudad en los últimos 15 años.
Uno de los empleados que fue testigo de la aparición de este ejemplar -también conocido como arañas errantes porque vagan por el suelo de la jungla en la noche en vez de recibir en una guarida- dijo que “miré de reojo y vi algo marrón”.
“Por el tamaño pensé que era una laucha pero cuando saltó al piso vimos que era una araña enorme”. La “bananera” es una especie muy agresiva que vive únicamente en las plantaciones de banana y suele ubicarse en el trópico de América del Sur y Central. Es por ello que se cree que llegó a la feria en un cajón de plátanos.
La misma puede medir entre 13 y 15 centímetros y causa impresión toparse con ellas.
